ATMA & ITTAC hold 3 day long awareness campaign for road safety.
In an attempt to alert motorists on road safety aspects related to driving, Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA) & Indian Tyre Technical Advisory Committee (ITTAC) – ATMA’s its technical wing held a 3-day comprehensive awareness campaign at Surajkund International Crafts Mela in Faridabad, Haryana. P. K. Mohamed Chairman ITTAC inaugurated the campaign with ATMA also tying up with Haryana Tourism Board to create awareness among thousands of car owners at the venue.
In the 3-day comprehensive awareness campaign, around 30 service engineers from leading tyre companies held a free tyre clinic wherein they inspected tyres of over 2500 cars & suggested recommendations. Free booklets on tyre safety were also distributed amongst motorists.
At the inauguration, P. K. Mohamed said, “Contrary to public perception, tyre is a high engineering product designed to make your journeys safer but needs regular maintenance. Small precautionary measures such as regular inspection of tyres, inflation pressure, wheel alignment etc could go a long way in ensuring safe journeys.”
