BMW selects Bridgestone as O.E for its 7 series.

BMW has selected Bridgestone as the OE tyre supplier to their latest generation BMW 7 series. The Australian subsidiary of Bridgestone has reported that the Potenza S001 run flat tyres will be fitted on the 730d, 740Li & 740i as standard equipment. The tyres fitted on these models will be of sizes 245/45R19, with an optional size 275/40R19 rear axle fitment available. For the 750i and 750Li, staggered sizing in 245/40R20 and 275/35R20.

Andrew Moffatt, MD, Bridgestone Australia and New Zealand’s said of the selection that,  “With a host of exciting features, from its innovative carbon core to BMW laser light technology, the 7 Series is well & truly setting the benchmark for luxury cars.” He added that, “It’s only fitting then that the 7 Series has a tyre that matches this ground-breaking approach, and the Potenza S001 RFT is the perfect choice. We’re very pleased to continue our partnership with BMW and proud to see this great product fitted as original equipment on the 7 Series.”
