Bridgestone expands markets for digital tyre management platform.
Bridgestone is expanding the availability of its Toolbox digital tyre assessment and asset tracking platform for truck and bus tyres.
The desktop and mobile application has been deployed in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Russia, and Latin America and is being released in Japan this month. The system delivers insights to fleet customers related to tyre inspections.
It can also provide information on operating conditions, as well as a profile of the customer to help optimize overall tyre usage, selection, and maintenance practices. Data collected by Toolbox can be used by Bridgestone to improve tyre development cycles, the company said. Toolbox works with Bridgestone’s BASys digital retread management platform, and Tyrematics, the company’s IoT powered tyre pressure and temperature solution. In January 2017, Bridgestone created the Digital Solution Center that accelerates development and deployment of the company’s digital solutions.
