Falken Tyre India Pvt Ltd- 5th Year Anniversary Event- Leela Hotel, Gurugram
Falken Tyre India is a joint venture between Sumitomo Rubber Asia (Tyre) Pte Ltd (A wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd – one of the world’s largest Tyre Manufacturers) and Stamford Tyres Corporation Ltd (One of the largest independent Tyre and Alloy Wheel Distributors in Asia).
On 16th April 2018 (Mon), Falken Tyre India Pvt Ltd (FTI), celebrated their 5th Year Anniversary in Leela Hotel, Gurugram. Pan India top 100 dealers were invited for this event, along with the entire Sales & Marketing team and FTI Head Office personnel.
Distinguished guests from Japan and Singapore participated and graced the occasion. The distinguished guests were Mr Ikuji Ikeda (President and CEO) Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd.,Mr Wee Kok Wah, (President and CEO) Stamford Tyres Corporation Ltd,,Mr Satoru Yamamoto (Director and Senior Executive Officer) Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd.,Mrs Dawn Wee WaiYing (Executive Director) Stamford Tyres Corporation and Dr Wee Li Ann (Director) Stamford Tyres Corporation.A total of 210 people attended this event
Prior to the 5thYear Anniversary Event, a short Sales Conference was also conducted, with members of the Sales team attending the Sales Conference along with the Distinguished Guests and the Management team of FTI. Mr Yasuhiro Nemoto (Managing Director, Falken Tyre India Pvt Ltd) declared the conference open and gave an opening address sharing with the team the financial results of calendar year 2017 and how FTI fared in 2017.Mr. Satoru Yamamoto also elaborated on the vision and sales goals for 2018 and expectations of FTI.
Market Survey Report, New Marketing Concept Falken Tyre Shop Club, Good Field Practices, Logistics Management, New Product Range, Introduction of Management by Objective were also shared with the team. Mr Wee Kok Wah(President and CEO) Stamford Tyres Corporation Ltd) and Mr Ikuji Ikeda (President and CEO) Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd) encouraged the team through theirconcluding comments.
The event celebration started with the lamp ceremony and welcoming of the 100 elite dealers from Pan India by all distinguished guests and FTI Managing Director. Pan India 5 Top performing dealers were rewarded, as well as Regional top performers.
After the awards presentations, a Japanese Traditional Ceremony of Kagami-Biraki also known as “the Sake Barrel Lid Opening Ceremony” was conducted. The Kagami Biraki is a traditional ceremony that has been performed for many centuries. A barrel of sake is opened by wooden mallet. This ceremony symbolizes an opening forharmony and good fortune.
The lively event was a celebration of the strong growth of FalkenTyres in India and its future with all the people who made it possible – the senior management with their vision and leadership, the staff who put in all the hard work and the loyal dealers without whom none of this would have been possible. This journey together was encapsulated by a special performance from Nitish Bharti, the famous artistcreating sand images of Falken’scorporate journey in India. The revelry continued till mid night and beyond. Dealers commented that FTI should organize such events at least once in 2 years to bring harmony and zeal in the entire network.
