Goodyear shows innovative dna at the auto expo.
Keeping on with the culture of innovation that runs through company’s dna, Goodyear showcased some of the most iconic products from the history of tyre technology at the 13th Auto Expo in Noida, UP.
Goodyear’s ‘Challenging the Limits’ display at the Auto Expo also showcased two of Goodyear’s ground-breaking concept tyres that were unveiled for the first time in India. The new concept tyres shpwed a glimpse of the future of tyre technology that could drastically change the role of car tyres in future. Even though these products are still a concept but, the technologies applied in these products are enough to stretch your imagination while teasing you about the innovations & technology that might just make you breathe a little heavy.
Mike Rytokoski, Vice-president consumer tyres for Goodyears Asia pacific division stated that, “the products displayed at the Expo represent an essential aspect of Goodyear’s consumer-centric innovation strategy, which constantly instils a forward-looking, market-back mindset in the company’s research & development teams.” Further adding that, “Goodyear’s concept tyres reimagine the role that tyres may play in the future. Goodyear envisions a future in which their products become more integrated with the vehicle & the consumer, more environmentally friendly & more versatile.”
The first concept tyre, named ‘BHO’, offers the possibility of charging the batteries of electric cars by transforming the heat generated by the rolling tyre into electrical energy. The second concept, named ‘Triple Tube’, contains three tubes that adjust tyre inflation pressure in response to changing road conditions, delivering new levels of performance and versatility.
Rajeev Anand, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Goodyear India said of the display at the Auto Expo that, “Goodyear’s culture of innovation is not just confined to the history.
