Goodyear’s latest performance SUV tyre debuts in Asia-Pacific.
To meet increasing demand for SUVs in the Asia-Pacific, Goodyear launched its EfficientGrip Performance SUV tyre last month at a regional event in Buriram, Thailand. The new luxury on-road SUV tyre promises a quieter driving experience with maximized comfort and excellent wet braking performance, according to the tyre maker.
The tyre is aimed at premium SUVs and drivers that want a blend of high performance and comfort in addition to grip. It sits above the Wrangler TripleMax and is a more all-round tyre compared to the Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV, the SUV version of Goodyear’s flagship UHP passenger car tyre. Chris Delaney, president of Goodyear APAC, told local media: “We understand that today’s urban luxury SUV drivers are looking for a comfortable, quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and the EfficientGrip Performance SUV is our answer to that. We are confident that this new tyre will provide consumers with an invigorating drive through everyday journeys.”
The tyre features technologies that dampen noise, reduce vibration and improve regular wear throughout the life of the tyre. The fitment is also designed to increase ride comfort through a structure that reduces the impact of road irregularities. Wet performance has also been improved in the EfficientGrip Performance SUV
