Maxxis to invest Rs. 2,600 Cr. In ots Gujrat plant
Taiwanese tyre maker Maxxis Group has confirmed an investment of around 2,600 crore for its upcoming facility at S anand & will use this facility to manufacture around 10,000 tyres per day for two-wheelers, increasing in a calculated phased manner.
Tsai-Jen Lo, Chairman, Maxxis Group, met Anandiben Patel, Gujarat Chief Minister to give her the updates on the company’s investment plans in the state of Gujarat.
Close to 43 hectares of land has been allocated to the company to be used for its tyre manufacturing facility expected to be commissioned by 2016. The plant is expected to employ around 2,000 personnel & will also participate for the skill development of youth in the state. Maxxis Group is planning to manufacture around 10,000 tyres for two-wheelers & 20,000 tubes per day.
