Michelin releases latest Enduro motorcycle tyre range.
As part of the 2017 FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) motorcycle race, which runs August 28- September 2 in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France, Michelin has begun sale of its latest Enduro tyre line. The fitments for off-road racing and causal riding took four years to develop, the company said.
In addition to a streamlined design compared with the previous collection, the new range is suited for a wide variety of terrains with its medium and hard versions. With new compounds, an updated tread pattern and construction, the Enduro delivers outstanding grip in dry and wet conditions without sacrificing durability, according to Michelin. It better adheres to the ground, which equates to greater precision and a significant improvement in obstacle-clearing ability. It also offers time savings for competitors and combines safety and enjoyment for leisure riders, Michelin said.
The development of the new tyre range involved competition riders Mathias Bellino, Julien Gauthier and Emmanuel Albepart, who put the tyres through their paces in extreme conditions and offered input to the tyre maker.
