Nokian Tyres restructures passenger tyre operations.
Nokian Tyres is changing its leadership and operational model for more efficient global business operations, the company said. Beginning January 1, 2018, the company’s passenger car tyre business unit will be managed by market and product line with each business area being responsible for the profitability and business development.
The company’s new business areas are the Americas (US, Canada and Central and South America); Europe (Nordic countries and the rest of Europe); and Russia and Asia (Russia, China, Japan and the countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia). A new products and technologies unit will manage and develop products in all key markets. Nokian Tyres’ overall business unit structure will remain unchanged, consisting of passenger car tyres, Nokian Heavy Tyres and Vianor auto and tyre service centers. Nokian’s management has been restructured to align with the company’s main markets.
The leadership team beginning in the new year will consist of Hille Korhonen, president and CEO; Andrei Pantioukhov, EVP Russia and Asia; Pontus Stenberg, Europe; Tommi Heinonen, Americas; Pontus Stenberg, interim, products and technologies; Manu Salmi, Nokian Heavy Tyres; Anna Hyvönen, Vianor; Anne Leskelä, finance and IR; Esa Eronen, supply chain and sustainability; Antti-Jussi Tähtinen, marketing and communications; Tarja Kaipio, HR; Frans Westerlund, IT and processes; Susanna Tusa, legal and compliance; and Timo Tervolin, strategy and M&A.
