Raw material costs push Bridgestone Europe prices up 3%
Bridgestone Europe has announced it will be implementing a price rise on all its car, van and SUV tyres in Europe from July 1.
The average increase across all brands and product lines will be 3%. The company notes that it has been prompted to take the move by increasing raw material costs across the past 12 months. In a press release of June 1 it notes that it was initially able to absorb these costs through operational improvements, this is no longer possible.
The company states it will continue to monitor raw material prices to ensure it can continue to “develop and deliver innovative tyres and related solutions.”
