Tyre Times along with SingEx International & OCTO Neumaticos, Organizes a successful Tyre& Rubber Industry Suppliers Summit in Delhi.
Riding on the back of the hugely successful Tyre& Rubber Industry Leadership Acknowledgement (TRiLA) awards, Tyre Times has added another star to their growing reputation in the industry by successfully organizing the Tyre& Rubber Industry Suppliers Summit.
The summit, first of it’s kind was an effort by Tyre Times & it’s business partners SingEx International & OCTO Neumaticos, to enable the rubber industry’s eco system to showcase its identity, celebrate its own achievements, identify their unique challenges and collaborate together to find a way to grow and prosper together.
Organized at the India Habitat center, the Tyre & Rubber Industry Suppliers Summit witnessed a seminar hall packed to the brim with the players from the industry that supplies to the tyre makers around the world. Dr. ShomNathChakravarty kick started the seminar with his keynote opening address which was followed by a presentation on “Innovation ? Key to success.” He was then followed by Dr. Arup. K. Chandra, Head, Research & Development, Apollo Tyres Ltd., who proceeded with a very detailed & informative presentation on the “International Legislation for Tyre & Rubber Industry.”
The first two presentations were then followed by Tea & Coffee session giving delegates present there an opportunity to meet the speakers & improve their network with other industry biggies present at the summit. Next to take the podium was Mr. Ferry Suwandinata, Director of Purchasing Raw Material-Rubber Group APAC at Continental, who gave a presentation on the “Evolving Expectations of Continental Tyres on Raw Material Suppliers.”
Mr. Ferry Suwandinata’s presentation was then followed by Mr. Manish Bahuguna of Constech Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. Channel Partners of ORGKHIM BIOCHEMICAL who presented on “An option for EU REACH compliant/Green Rubber Processing Oil.” The summit then moved on for the lunch proceedings which was followed by Tyre Times suggesting for the entire industry to come together in an attempt to make full use of the available resources within the Indian industry (more information on that will be shared in our upcoming issues).
There were three more presentations that took place after lunch including “From deficits to self-sufficiency ? the changing scenario of the SBR supplies in India” by Mr. Bose from ISRL & “Targeting European markets ? How to navigate REACH” by Dr. AnomitraChakravarty of Elastomer Technology Development Society.
The final presentation of the day & perhaps one of the most sought after was delivered by Mr. Muneesh Batta, Vice-President, Marketing, Oriental Carbon & Chemicals Ltd. who, spoke on “Selling to the Tyre companies globally ? challenges, opportunities & the way forward.”
After the final presentation the summit was brought to an end by Mr. Amit Sharma, Editor, Tyre Times who announced the return of the Tyre& Rubber Industry Leadership Acknowledgement (TRiLA) Awards in 2016 with its dates & venue yet to be confirmed.
